About the Founder
Taléta Willer is the visionary behind Workshops in SA
Born and raised on a small farm near Smithfield in the heart of South Africa, Taléta’s love for art and her homeland has shaped every part of her journey. Today, she is a passionate portrait artist who also finds deep inspiration in the sweeping landscapes of Africa.
Over the last six years, Taléta has traveled widely, painting and teaching across continents — from the vineyards of Stellenbosch, where she now lives with her family, to as far as Alaska, where she hosted a unique workshop among snow-covered peaks. These experiences, coupled with her love of people and storytelling through art, inspired her to create something truly special: boutique tours that combine master-level instruction, luxury travel, and Africa’s breathtaking beauty.
Each retreat is personally curated and managed by Taléta herself, ensuring that every guest feels cared for and welcomed into a close-knit creative community. With only three tours offered each year, exclusivity is guaranteed — and demand is high, with spaces often selling out within weeks of release. Guests return home not only with new paintings, but also with full hearts, cherished memories, and lasting friendships.
